As a work-from-home entrepreneur, My brain works in overdrive and sometimes it’s not a good thing. I am an overthinker so, once I wake up a lot of things are going through my mind and if I do everything in my overthinking brain, I will get burned out.
That’s why I had to come up with a routine to make my overthinking introvert brain a superpower. This routine helps me be more productive.
Work-from-Home Morning Routine
Some people have a routine because it’s an aesthetic way to start their day. I have a routine because I’m weird in the way I need one to function.
I am also not a morning person which means the first thing I do when I wake up, is get myself a cup of coffee or green tea. Depending on my mood.
Create a To-Do List
After my cup of coffee, my brain is up and functioning. I create my to-do list for the day. Which is extracted from my weekly to-do list.
I use a digital to-do list that has already been created in Notion. Knowing what I need to do that day helps me be more productive in my business and personal life.
For a Clear Mind; Journaling ✍
My brain is always working and I find that if I don’t brain dump all those ideas in my journal, I will get distracted later in the day.
So, for a clear mind on my workdays, I need to write down those ideas somewhere. I used to think having a journal was stupid but now, I LOVE it! At the end of my journal entry, I set a goal for the day. For example, launch days are stressful for me. So, my goal for that day would be to stay calm through it all.
Exercise or Yoga 🧘🏽♀️
Before I used to read but I found that I never want to stop. I started exercising one month ago. I’ll do one of two things depending on my mood. Exercise or Yoga.
With my workouts, I’m more focused on the routines and steps. And with yoga, centers me because I’m more focused on my breathing and my body. Not on my thoughts.
We are all looking for a perfect work from home routine. I have been working from home offering Pinterest marketing services for almost 4 years now and it has taken me that long to find a routine that works for me.
