I can’t believe it’s February already and you know what that means right? It’s time to discuss the February Pinterest trends. By now you know that pinners are planners. So, if you want to master Pinterest marketing you need to be a planner too and pin the right content before the trends so you can get that traffic to your site or blog. Let’s take a look at the trends.
FEBRUARY PINTEREST TRENDS
February is the time to start thinking about the springtime, Easter, Mother’s Day, summer vacation, and anything else that’s coming up in the next 2 to 3 months.
One event that happens every February that people either love or hate: is Valentine’s Day. We’re several weeks into winter at this point and people are really looking forward to springtime. They want to plan vacations, lose weight for summer, and prepare their taxes.
It’s not too late to share Valentine’s Day content if you have it. Although I advise you to start pushing out Valentine’s day content in January. Pinners are looking for inspiration when it comes to cards, cake designs, nail designs, baby announcements, and gifts for their significant other.

Spring: Everything Spring
Warmer months are coming. With Spring pinners are looking for pins around spring break and spring fashion & outfits. With spring break, I mean who doesn’t love a good road trip with amazing warmer weather? Travel bloggers should take advantage of this and pin it to their relevant boards. The traffic will be amazing for your Pinterest account.
If you’re a fashion blogger, you can start preparing blog posts that feature key trends and colors of the Spring season, such as whites, pinks, and neutrals.
Comfort Food & Drinks
Who doesn’t love some delicious, warm comfort food? A lot of people are trying to stick to those New Year’s Resolutions and will want healthier options to warm them up during the last of the winter months. Think about healthy crockpot recipes like ground beef chili, chicken chili, chicken noodle soup, and even comfort foods like pasta dishes. Other pinners are looking for diet-specific recipes like gluten-free, dairy-free, and keto recipes. Besides these ideas, people are also looking for easy and healthy recipes.
January puts people in the organizational frame of mind. Cleaning homes, sorting through papers, and managing files are all top-of-mind. Here at Pin Savvy Media we also take part in spring cleaning by Spring cleaning our clients’ accounts. You can also be like us and spring clean your social media and email. So, service-based businesses think outside the box and find ways to reach those people who are looking to clean up their social media accounts if that happens to be your niche.
St. Patrick’s Day
It’s traditional to make classic Irish dishes on St. Patrick’s like corned beef and cabbage, colcannon, Irish soda bread, Irish stew, and Irish coffee.
Teachers and parents also take advantage of this day and therefore, they are looking for crafts to make with kids! Think about St. Patrick’s Day decor, crafts, wreaths, shamrocks, and leprechauns.
Content Planning: What’s Next After February?
For best results, Pinterest recommends its users to start pinning seasonal content 45 days, or about 6 weeks before the actual event. The reason why you should start pinning content so early is that it can take Pinterest 4 to 6 weeks to figure out what your content is really about and what keywords they should start indexing it for. Use this guide to brainstorm blog post ideas that you can create in February, and think to yourself if there are other key events in your niche that are happening in April and May.
People go all out for Easter. So, it’s not surprising it’s such a big deal and why there are so many content ideas for Easter. These include; Easter crafts, Easter decorations, Easter recipes, Easter cards, Easter gifts, Easter cards, and even Easter nail art!
Mother’s day in the US is celebrated on May 8th this year. There are several content creation ideas that you can leverage here, such as Mother’s Day gift ideas, Mother’s Day crafts, cards, and food ideas.
