Here are the December Pinterest Trends. It’s official, Christmas is here. I love this month it’s just so festive. By now you all know I love helping you guys D-I-Y your Pinterest marketing. The one way I realized to do that is to tell you what to pin every month according to what’s trending. I love doing keyword research so these trends are after observing what works for this month. Let’s get to it.

You need to remember with Pinterest, you have to think about the user’s experience. So, when figuring out what to pin every month, make sure the end-user experience is your priority. Most pinners are on the platform to find ideas, tips & tricks or get inspired for their everyday life.

DECEMBER PINTEREST TRENDS:

Christmas

From decorations to recipes, tablescapes to gifts, kids’ activities to decorating Christmas trees, December 25th is the biggest day this month.

You need to think through what type of content your reader comes to you for. Do they come to you for DIY? Recipes? How would you incorporate Christmas into your content?

Other December Holidays

Christmas is not the only holiday in December. There is also Hanukkah and Kwanzaa in December.

Are you a food blogger? Do you have Hanukkah recipes? Incorporate them into your December content.

When I was a kid in our household we used to love Boxing day too.

December Engagements

Do y ‘all love beautiful engagements as I do? Are you a wedding or engagement photographer? How about sharing content with engagement parties? idea pins with unique engagement ideas?

Also, a lot of people get married in December. Winter weddings or December weddings. You can incorporate that into your content calendar for this month.

New Year’s Eve

I know I have said this before but Pinterest users are planners and believe it or not, they are already planning for New Year’s Eve. They are planning their parties, cocktail recipes, what they want to wear, kids’ activities, foods, games, etc. I mean the list goes on. When sharing your content think about what your audience wants to see from you. So if you share cocktails and your audience love that, add some New Year’s Eve cocktail recipes.

In the New Year’s keywords, remember some people do New Year Resolutions so you can add goal-setting content that will go out right after Christmas.

Holiday Fashion & Beauty

Everyone loves seasonal fashion. This month there will be a lot of Christmas parties and Christmas photos. People will want to dress for the season and they are already looking for ideas.

If you are a fashion or beauty blogger now is the time to start sharing content about that seasonal fashion style. Cute cocktail dresses for Christmas & New Year’s, chunky sweaters, and boots for the cold are all going to be in style. Not to mention the holiday makeup looks and hairstyles you can start promoting.

Ugly Christmas sweaters are popular right now so if you sell those this is your time!

Holiday Travel

Many people travel for Thanksgiving and Christmas. These people need travel tips, places to stay, packing tips, etc. Families traveling with kids will need tips on how to pack, car games for kids, staying at other people’s homes, and more. If you are a travel blogger you can create content about where to go and what to do for those people who want to travel during the holiday season.

Fitness & Healthy Living

A lot of people start diets after the New Year. I’m guilty of doing this too. So, get ahead of the trends and offer your audience a way to enjoy their holiday season without the guilt. You can offer up ways for them to stay fit and healthy despite the popular unhealthy eating habits.
