books for female entrepreneurs that are inspiring

1. How Are You Really? by Jenna Kutcher

Jenna Kutcher is one of those female entrepreneurs who in my head we are total biz besties. She made it all with the power of social media. Burnout is something we all experience especially as women entrepreneurs because we have so many things to do. Maybe you have that business, have other streams of income, you are a wife and a mother to top it all. How can you do all that without feeling burnt out? This is what Jenna tries to show you with her book.

After I finished this book I went and asked my mother how are you really? It really gives you perspective. One of the reasons why this book is on this list of books for female entrepreneurs is because Jenna Kutcher touched on something we all need to figure out. Whatever it is your business is, are you doing it to make a living or make a life?

How are you really? taught me how to ask myself how does this make me feel?

2. Untamed by Glennon Doyle

This book was released just before the pandemic and it set the book side of TikTok a blaze. I didn’t who she was and because I like shiny and beautiful things, the cover really pulled me in. I went on Amazon and bought the audio version of Untamed and it deserved all the hype and that #1 New York Times Bestseller.

This book will teach you how to be brave and stop being a people pleaser. Let’s be honest, it takes a lot of bravery to be a business owner. There is no one there to hold your hand and tell you this is how to do it. It’s all on you and that’s the kind of bravery Glennon talks about in this book.

Read how Glennon chose bravery over fear and how that changed her life forever. You can do the same! You can overcome any obstacle and start living the life you’ve always dreamed of. Just as Glennon said, “The braver we are, the luckier we get.”  If you are like me and Glennon Doyle inspires you with this book then definitely binge-listen to her podcast We Can Do Hard Things.

3. The 4% Fix by Karma Brown

Those first few months of my business, I felt like I couldn’t catch up. I had that feeling that I was behind in my business when I was not. I mean I was always too busy.

I remember this one time I had worked the whole day and I only stopped at around 10 pm because I hadn’t eaten anything which is not healthy. I didn’t know how to slow down.

The 4% fix taught me how to find time for what I want to do without feeling guilty. This book is amazing for entrepreneurs who want to learn how to be more productive in their businesses.

4. LifePass: Drop Your Limits, Rise to Your Potential by Payal Kadakia

There are many books for female entrepreneurs that are empowering to read. This one though takes the cake. For three reasons. First, as a businesswoman who is a person of color, this book really resonates with me.

Secondly, this book is practical. I mean motivational books are amazing but a book you can put into practice is amazing. Thirdly, Lifepass is part spiritual and part business.

This book most of all taught me how to become more organized in every aspect of my life and also it helped me find my passion and find my purpose. I’m so glad I read this book when I did. Talk about an eye-opener.

5. Everybody Writes by Ann Handley

Literally, every entrepreneur should read this book. The reality of the digital world is that copy is a big part of the success of a business. That is website copy, social media copy, and also blog posts.

According to Ann, the content marketing pioneer, everybody is a writer in some capacity. Written a social media post? What about an email? The copy on your website? You’re a writer.

This book has helped my blog writing so much. I could go on about how amazing Ann is but how about you let her teach you in Everybody writes?

6. The Mountain is You by Brianna Wiest

Brianna Wiest’s books are simply amazing in my opinion. I think every woman in their 20s should read think this book. That is why it made it to this list of books for female entrepreneurs.

My friend LeAnn bought this book for me last year for my birthday and it was the best gift ever. At some point in your life, you went through self-doubt and self-sabotaging. That is what Brianna highlights in the Mountain is You.

If your reading list was not long before right now it is. I love books and if you want more books definitely join my newsletter every Wednesday you will get a book of the week book recommendation.
